Officer of Watch

Job Responsibilities

* Assisting the First Officer with administrative and safety duties
* Navigation watches
* Hands on leader of deck crew
* Maintenance and inventory of deck equipment
* Stowage of yacht for sea
* Continued education and licensing

Job Skills Required

* Ability to assign duties and delegate crew on projects
* Extensive maintenance knowledge and skills- cleaning, rust/ corrosion, painting, varnishing, rope splicing, fiberglass, carpentry, outboard motors and maintenance product knowledge
* Basic engineering knowledge
* Watch keeping and safety knowledge
* Excellent tender driving skills
* Advanced knowledge of all water sports

Salary Expectations

150 – 250 ft +
$5,000 - $7,000

This is a mid career level position where most of the manual skills of maintenance and navigation will have already been learned and mastered. From this role onwards the focus will be more on the managerial aspect of yachting.
