We provide trouble shooting and maintenance assistance, refit advice and regulatory compliance support. Our highly experienced support team is able to offer practical solutions that comply with regulations.

Maintenance Assistance and Support

Professional consultation is available for all departments on your yacht. We can assist with planned preventative maintenance by establishing and monitoring a program that supports the yachts' scheduling. Through continued evaluation of the yacht 's inventory and maintenance schedules we are able to estimate any potential problem areas while endeavoring to keep the yacht operating within budgetary requirements. We assist with engineering suppliers, spare parts and technical consultants as necessary.

Refit Advice

Luxury Yacht Group is able to provide refit and repair advice on yards, products and requirements to ensure maximum safety and cost efficiency. Our available services are:

  • Developing objectives and scope of work for a bid package to submit to yards
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Selection of contractors
  • Monitor progress and manage stage payments per contract level completion levels
  • Coordination of classification society or surveyors
Refit Advice

Luxury Yacht Group is one of the few yachting companies to have been certified to operate their ISM systems onboard commercial SOLAS compliant passenger yachts up to 36 passengers.

LY2 and mini ISM

The large yacht code (LY2) was developed specifically for commercial yachts and is more flexible with compliance to international regulations by taking into consideration the particular characteristics of yachts. The code covers construction, equipment, crew and safety and requires that all charter yachts under 500 GRT must implement a safety management system. This is more commonly referred to as ‘mini ISM’. Private yachts recognize the advantages of this safety system and are voluntarily complying with ISM, as a yacht working with safe working practices has fewer surprises and operates with a more predictable budget.

Regulatory Compliance

In order to maintain your yacht it will need to comply with the regulations of industry bodies such as Flag States, Class Societies and others. Luxury Yacht Group's professional relationships with these groups provides a support platform for compliance and certification of your yacht.
