About the 2nd (<3000gt <3000kw)

The second engineer onboard a yacht is keen to support and learn from the chief engineer on a mid-large size superyacht. This role requires knowledge of safety procedures, strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of the wide variety of onboard systems. The cleanliness and maintenance of the engine room will also be a key part of this position. The appropriate license for the specific vessel is required and will most likely range from a MCA Y2 – Y4 level license with at least three years of experience and deck experience. Willingness to help the deck department when needed is necessary.
